This huge 1.5 km-long pebble beach lies on the left bank of the harbour. It stretches from the fishermen’s jetty to the foot of the cliffs of the Côte d’Albâtre. With its large width, it provides bathers with a place to put their towels, even during the peak summer season.
The seafront promenade is very pleasant, with magnificent views of the cliffs and the sea. During the walk, you’ll find plenty of entertainment with games for children, stores and food. What’s more, in the late evening, you can also watch magnificent sunsets.
Walking and cultural visits in Dieppe

Hardened hikers will appreciate the proximity of the GR21, which crosses the Seine-Maritime and passes through Dieppe. On one side, it takes you to Tréport, 35 km away, and on the other, you’ll be able to admire superb views from Pourville-sur-Mer and Varengeville-sur-Mer.
If you want to combine a cultural visit with a hike, the easy 3.7 km circuit through old Dieppe is ideal. In fact, it allows you to discover many of the city’s must-see sites and monuments. You’ll pass the Saint-Jacques church and Dieppe castle. The latter, which became a museum in 1923, is open to visitors. It’s an opportunity to learn more about Dieppe’s maritime history, and to admire a superb collection of carved ivories, paintings and more.
